Jars of Clay

...somehow it all adds up the same...
...Like Iccarus, I collide with a world I try so hard to leave behind
To rid myself of all but love, to give and die
To turn away and not become another nail to pierce the skin of one who loves more deeply than the oceans, more aboundant than the tears of a world embracing every heartache
...
Take my world apart
I am on my knees
Take my world apart
...
All said and done, I stand alone
Amongst remains of a life I should not own
It takes all I am to believe in the mercy that covers me
...
so steal my heart and take the pain
and wash the skin and cleanse my pride
take the selfish, take the weak, and all the things I cannot hide
and serve the ones that I despise
speak the words I can't deny
watch the world I used to love fall to dust and throw away
so steal my heart and take the pain....
take my world apart...

Agora outro graaaande presente nesse CD foi a música The Valley Song.

The valley song

You have led me to the sadness
I have carried this pain
On a back bruised, nearly broken
I’m crying out to You

I will sing of your mercy
That leads me through valleys of sorrow
To rives of joy

When death, like a gypsy
Comes to steal what I love
I will still look to the heavens
I will still seek your face

But I fear you aren’t listening
Because there are no words
Just the stillness and the hunger
For a faith that assures

I will sing of your mercy
That leads me through valleys of sorrow
To rives of joy

Aleluia! Aleluia! Aleluia! Aleluia!

While we wait for a rescue
With our eyes tightly shut
Face to the ground
Using our hands
To cover the fatal cut

Though the pain is an ocean
Tossing us around, around, around…
You have calmed greater waters
Higher mountains have come down

I will sing of your mercy
That leads me through valleys of sorrow
To rives of joy
